Broomfield Family Photography – Canvas Cluster Wall Display

Deciding how to display your family portraits can be daunting. It’s not only a question of where, but also how. If you have several images that you just love (from the same shoot), I suggest a Canvas Cluster, like the one showcased here:

It’s a great example of a wall display (called a “cluster” display) of my portraits for a local Broomfield Family. The client’s favorite photo anchors the entire grouping – it’s the largest and in the center.

A fun backstory about that center image.  I told them, as I tell all my clients, that when I’m photographing a family,  “We want each member to be physically touching another member.” Usually this is done by holding hands, or placing your hand on someone else’s shoulder. Well, this family had another idea for it – esp the boys who are pranksters. I rolled with it (I don’t think they realized I was going to photograph their adorable shenanigans) , and we got an image they love that reflects this family’s unique personality.

As the mom said about her experience working with me:

“Natascha is a supremely talented photographer. She captures your family’s true spirit, and crafts artistic portraits that you cherish for a lifetime. I highly recommend her.

Jennelle Ertl, Broomfield, Colorado

When you get family portraits you love, be sure to  order and proudly display BIG wall prints / canvas clusters of your family portraits. It’s one of the best ways to celebrate your family’s love and special connection. Also, I recommend ordering a couple small prints for your children’s rooms, and/or bathrooms. Kids LOVE to have their own personal copy of the family photo.

Broomfield Family Photography – Large Wall Canvas

Broomfield Family Portraits - Large Wall Canvas by Natascha Lee Studios

Here is the lovely Jade next to her large family wall art. I took her family’s portraits last fall, and I recently visited her home for a video shoot/on-camera interview (I’m very honored that a local videographer wanted to create a video featuring me! And grateful that Jade agreed to be part of the project!)

It was a blast to walk around her house and see my portraits of her stunning family throughout the house….She ordered large wall canvases for her front room and hallway, mounted prints for her family room, an heirloom album, and small gift albums for grandparents, etc. I hear the grandparents were over the moon to receive photos of their kids/grandkids for Xmas.

This piece here is a statement piece, and the first thing you see when you enter her beautifully decorated Broomfield home! She’s told me that she receives so many compliments on it. (Guests love seeing family photos when they visit your home. And so does your photographer – ;-))

Be sure to order and proudly display BIG wall prints / canvas of your family portraits, it’s one of the best ways to celebrate your family’s love and special connection.

Modeling Portfolio Images : Denver Teen Models

Denver teen model portfolio and headshot session last year and I had to share. Isn’t it great? This teen model is so lovely – and I love the dress she is wearing – it suits her so well! BTW, you may wonder how photographers come across images from months (sometimes years) ago that we didn’t ever share. Or you may wonder why we didn’t share them back when we took them….Here is how…during busy seasons, we take photos, deliver images to the client, repeat, repeat. We are so focused on meeting our clients needs that sometimes we forget to share our favorite ones on our blogs/social media/etc.  I think that’s a great thing, because it means we are focused on meeting our clients’ needs. (Yay!) But it does mean that our blogs/IG feeds/FB pages/etc can get neglected. (Boo!) Then something will happen that makes us think of a session we did – like we will talk to a client who is booking with us again, and we will think, “Oh! I really like the photos from that shoot, and I never did share them publicly.”  Or we do a shoot that reminds us of a previous shoot, and we’ll realize the same thing….”Oh! I never did post photos from that shoot.!” Or we just get a message from the client thanking us and letting us know how our images for their child model won a modeling competition. (Double yay!) That happens to me quite a bit. And I know that social media is supposed to be all about the “now”, but a great image of a beautiful teen girl model from last year…well, that is timeless and still should be shared…even if the photographer (me) is months behind! Denver Newborn Photographer | Natascha Lee Studios

Denver Newborn Photographer, I am so honored to photograph your baby’s first few days of life. Remember the yoga maternity images from last month? Here is her sweet baby boy – – just 5 days new. He is resting on a blanket his parents got in Nepal, when they were both teaching overseas. That’s one of the things I suggest to new parents in their Newborn Photo Session Prep Tips; think about any special items from your home, or heirlooms that you would like to incorporate into your baby’s newborn portraits. Perhaps a rocking chair you had when you were a kid, or perhaps a special blanket you got in your travels. I’ve even photographed a newborn baby (a Triplet) with the photo of the Great Grandma she was named after. newborn session last week. Baby X is 4 days old, and big brother Z is 3. His hand on Mommy’s shoulder, his sweet kiss to his new baby brother’s head, the contrast of the light skin on the dark shirts – WOW! (And no, this didn’t happen by accident – I provide all clients with simple prep tips to help us get AMAZING images like this one. It can be overwhelming to get professional photos taken, and even more overwhelming to prepare for a session while you have a newborn.  And this is true if it’s your first, or your second…. or fifth,  if you gave birth or if you adopted. In any situation, it’s a major transitional time and who can be expected to think of all the details needed to prep for photos???? That’s why I make it easy and give you step by step prep tips!) BTW, if you read my blog posts you will know I’m a HUGE advocate for getting mom in the photo. I know that sometimes just after giving birth, and/or not sleeping for 4 or 5 days, you don’t feel like being photographed. But your images will be cherished by many more people, and more generations, if you are in it the image also. And since I view fine family photography as family heirloom, let’s make it as valuable as possible to as many generations as possible. Here’s one example how we can accomplish getting moms in the photo if you don’t really feel like being photographed. And, you are still very much part of the photo.  For the record, I def still prefer to have all of you – your face, your beautiful expression as you gaze at your newborn. But this is lovely, too!
