This is the sweetest newborn baby girl. Her mother and I have been talking about this particular Sock Monkey portrait for a couple of years and I was THRILLED to be able to do it for her and her husband. I got the wonderful sock monkey hat by this talented local artist and found the sock monkey lovey at Dillard’s.
Sweet baby girl is a twin and I’ll post some of the photos with her twin newborn brother and parents soon!

Sneak peek from a recent newborn session. Grandma called me from Golden, Colorado, looking for “artistic Black and White Portraits” for her son, daughter-in-law and her brand-new very first grandchild. I was thrilled to oblige as I love crafting heirloom portraits for new families. And all that newborn baby goodness!
It was kismet; Grandma called me the day before this session as she was just about to leave town; I’ve never booked a portrait session just 24 hours in advance, but our scheduled matched up (despite this being the start of a super busy season for professional photographers), and I just love the images we got. Baby S was so handsome, despite a definite aversion to falling asleep.
Even more special: black and white portraits are a family tradition, with Baby S being the fourth! 4th! generation to be photographed in black and white.
As you can see below, he is lucky to inherit some very good-looking genes from Mommy and Daddy.

I am so happy we had a photo session of our baby boy, Zane, with Natascha of Natascha Lee Studios. We are thrilled with the results. After many attempts, my husband and I were unable to take photo of our newborn we were satisfied with, even with our new camera. When Natascha showed me the slideshow of the photos she took, I got so emotional I cried! Our son is growing and changing so fast, I look at these photos and my heart opens and remembers those first weeks we shared together. Only a professional can truly share this experience with us new moms and dads. I am so grateful of Natascha’s talent and artistic eye that captured those precious moments.

We are off to drive around Broomfield and Westminster to look at the Holiday Lights.
There are some amazing homes around Broomfield and Westminster; I’m so grateful to the homeowners who put so much effort into making their house festive and lovely.

Like many mothers, I am addicted to Pinterest and find so many cool projects I want to do.
Of course, I don’t always have the supplies nor the time, but here is one that was fun, easy, yummy and healthy:
Frozen Yogurt Dots. Mix food coloring into yogurt, squeeze out onto a cookie sheet in little dots, freeze, and eat!

Speaking of later, did you see the amazing sunset in Broomfield tonight? The wind kicked up dust into the air and that’s what gave us such magnificent colors. I captured many photos of the stunning sky.
