Broomfield Family Photography – Canvas Cluster Wall Display

Deciding how to display your family portraits can be daunting. It’s not only a question of where, but also how. If you have several images that you just love (from the same shoot), I suggest a Canvas Cluster, like the one showcased here:

Broomfield Family Photography - Canvas Cluster Wall Display for Family Portraits by Natascha Lee Studios

It’s a great example of a wall display (called a “cluster” display) of my portraits for a local Broomfield Family. The client’s favorite photo anchors the entire grouping – it’s the largest and in the center.

A fun backstory about that center image.  I told them, as I tell all my clients, that when I’m photographing a family,  “We want each member to be physically touching another member.” Usually this is done by holding hands, or placing your hand on someone else’s shoulder. Well, this family had another idea for it – esp the boys who are pranksters. I rolled with it (I don’t think they realized I was going to photograph their adorable shenanigans) , and we got an image they love that reflects this family’s unique personality.

As the mom said about her experience working with me:

“Natascha is a supremely talented photographer. She captures your family’s true spirit, and crafts artistic portraits that you cherish for a lifetime. I highly recommend her.

Jennelle Ertl, Broomfield, Colorado

When you get family portraits you love, be sure to  order and proudly display BIG wall prints / canvas clusters of your family portraits. It’s one of the best ways to celebrate your family’s love and special connection. Also, I recommend ordering a couple small prints for your children’s rooms, and/or bathrooms. Kids LOVE to have their own personal copy of the family photo.

Broomfield Family Photography – Large Wall Canvas

Broomfield Family Portraits - Large Wall Canvas by Natascha Lee Studios

Here is the lovely Jade next to her large family wall art. I took her family’s portraits last fall, and I recently visited her home for a video shoot/on-camera interview (I’m very honored that a local videographer wanted to create a video featuring me! And grateful that Jade agreed to be part of the project!)

It was a blast to walk around her house and see my portraits of her stunning family throughout the house….She ordered large wall canvases for her front room and hallway, mounted prints for her family room, an heirloom album, and small gift albums for grandparents, etc. I hear the grandparents were over the moon to receive photos of their kids/grandkids for Xmas.

This piece here is a statement piece, and the first thing you see when you enter her beautifully decorated Broomfield home! She’s told me that she receives so many compliments on it. (Guests love seeing family photos when they visit your home. And so does your photographer – ;-))

Be sure to order and proudly display BIG wall prints / canvas of your family portraits, it’s one of the best ways to celebrate your family’s love and special connection.

Broomfield Family Photography – Fall Family Portraits Video

Broomfield family portrait session. One of my favorite sessions of 2015. Now, usually I don’t share full-family photos between October 1 and Dec 25th. That’s because the families having me take their portraits in the fall are typically looking for photos that they can put on their walls AND use in their Christmas/Holiday cards. many of my clients know each other and/or are just one degree away from each other . Plus, as you know, I’m closed during the month of December.    Since many of my clients are friends with each other (word-of-mouth is how most people find me!), and/or they are only separated by 1 degree –  I don’t want to “steal anyone’s thunder” or ruin the surprise. So I wait till after Xmas to share those family portraits. I feel like this is a great place to go off on a tangent, and mention that people still LOVE getting real, physical cards in the mail – esp when they include a recent family photo, (ideally a professionally taken one but really any family photo is great) THAT INCLUDES THE PARENTS! Please, parents, do NOT send cards with only photos of your children. If you are sending cards to YOUR friends then they also want to see YOU! I promise you this. We want to see photos of OUR friends just as much as the photos of our friends’ kids! So, back to the original topic – this lovely mamma has given me permission to put this video up now, before Xmas. I’m not putting it on FB or IG – just on my blog. We took her family portraits in late October, and the colors were splendid! Two weeks later we did her viewing session (loads of fun with wine, chocolate snacks and so many laughs!)  – and then, the day after their viewing session, she sent me one of the kindest texts ever! It made me so very happy. Have you ever done that, just sent a random gratitude text? What a great way to make someone’s day and to increase the positive energy in the world! I love this gal!

Broomfield Children's Photography – Viewing Session (By Broomfield Photography Natascha Lee Studios)

Broomfield portait client’s final art, hanging in their home. Last last year, local Broomfield Mamma Jenny bid and won a photo session with me at a local charity auction. About two weeks after a portrait session, I meet my clients in my North Denver studio to share their final portrait gallery in a lovely movie format, set to music. As you know from my studio tour, I’ve got comfty couches, beer, wine and soda, as well as a playroom if the kiddos come along. This Move Premier lets portrait clients see all their images in their full resolution glory, as well as allows me to assist them in selecting their favorite images for wall art, albums, and gifts for family members. Jenny and I had set up the viewing appointment for 5:30pm on a weekday, not really thinking about rush hour traffic. We each encountered traffic getting there (note to self: no more appointments during evening rush hour), but we decided that some wine would take care of that…..I even had a really nice bottle of red ready. And then…TRAGIC! I couldn’t find the wine opener anywhere! Argghhh. At least we managed to open the sparkling cider for her girls. And I have since made sure we have two! wine openers in the studio kitchen. With our non-wine drinks (tragic!), we settle into the couches and chairs and I start their Preview Movie. This super cool and fun Mamma started tearing up at the first image (which is normal – most Mammas  tear up when they are seeing portraits of their precious children.) But then her reaction was even better….. by the third image, she leaned forward with this look of..joy and disbelief.  It looked like she was in shock at how stunning her girls’ portraits were! I was smiling from ear to ear! The adorable girls, well they loved being “movie stars” but I think their favorite was the playroom @ my studio with an Xbox, or perhaps it was the Martinellis apple cider they got to sip out of wine glasses. After much discussion about which images to get for her wall collage, I helped her select her final portraits. And here, without further ado, is the iphone snapshot she sent me of the final wall. Isn’t it wonderful? Broomfield Family Portraits - children and dog - images on wall jenni

Broomfield Children's Portraits Mini Session Movie (Lovely Sisters) (By Broomfield Photography Natascha Lee Studios)

I’m wrapping up client orders, preparing for my month off in December. I love getting to relax and focus on family over the holidays!

Here’s a video of a recent mini session, taken in Broomfield before we lost most of the leaves. They included their dog, who was a sweetheart but very spirited.

Video Previews are a special service I offer all clients – an in-person preview session, which is held in my studio a couple of weeks after your custom portrait session.

Your “preview video”  includes your final portrait images set to music and with special video effects. Fancy!

This one is short because it was a mini session, most portrait sessions result in 30-40 images. To see what a typical session video look like, click here.

BTW, Here is the absolute sweetest recommendation that their daughter wrote for me on my Facebook Page:

Hi! This is Lauren. Miss Natascha took pictures of my sister Katelyn and I a few weeks ago. We saw this crazy black cat that I named Halloween by the lake. My dog Sully really wanted to eat Halloween the whole time, so we didn’t think we would get any good pictures with our dog. When we looked at our pictures in Miss Natascha’s studio we were so surprised to see the really cool pictures of our dog and us. My mom couldn’t make up her mind about which pictures were her favorites, so she ordered a bunch. I love the pictures with my dog the most!! – Lauren

Denver Family Photography – Holiday Family Sessions – "Behind the Scenes" with Natascha Lee Studios

At  my North Denver Studio, we created a variety of sets for this year’s Holiday Mini Sessions for kids.

This was one of our most popular sets or scenes specifically created with our “Clean and Classic Style, Anne-Taylor” loving clients in mind.

Tomorrow I’ll post a image of how adorable this looks once we have a sweet little kiddo in it.
