Denver Family Photography – New "Explainer" Video

Here is mine, hot off the presses. Well, the digital presses that is:

Natascha Lee Studios 2016 Explainer Video from N Lee on Vimeo.

If you are looking for family portraits, that video gives you a super quick overview of me, the kind of photos I create, and my style. Below are a few more key links that people like to have, when they are looking for a Denver family photographer and considering working with me. Feel free to check them out. And, if you aren’t in the area looking for a Denver family photographer, ask your local photographer if they have similar links available for you to check out. In addition to pricing and their gallery, be sure to see a video or a sample of a full session – I always recommend seeing an entire session by your photographer. Because anyone can take one or two good photos, but you want a photographer that will deliver and entire gallery of great images for you to select from. Not all photographers have a studio, but if they do have one, you’ll want to ask where it is and what it is like. Their studio is a great meeting place, you can see their product samples and it also provides a back up shooting location if your outdoor location gets rained/snowed out. (Although it can be very fun to shoot in the rain and snow! 1. What people say about working with me 2. My photo galleries, (one for each of my specialties so you can see my photography style) 3. Broomfield Family Photography – Fall Family Portraits | Natascha Lee Studios

fall family portrait. Their Sheltie dogs are super sweet, and we made sure to include them in many portraits.* In addition to the semi-posed images where everyone is looking @ the camera, I love capturing “lifestyle” images, which are like these below – it’s a peak into your life….of course, you all happen to be wearing impeccably coordinated outfits, not a hair out of place, and it’s a lovely fall day with the soft warm light from the setting sun behind you.  😉 BTW, do you see mom’s boots! They are soooo stylish. I want to go buy myself a pair. If you follow me on IG, you’ll see that I post images of cowboy boots there from time to time. I saw so many cool ones during a photography trip to Nashville. Broomfield Family and Pet Photography - with Dogs (Natascha Lee Studios)

*Your dogs are part of your family! And we often include them in portraits. There are a few steps to follow to make sure we get the best photos possible, and one of the key  things is to have someone who can take over the dogs once we are done photographing them. A neighbor, a friend, etc. It’s also a good idea to have them groomed a couple days before, and bring them a little bit hungry so they will pay attention. This clever family brought the dogs’ favorite treats and just the word “cookie” made them perk up! Save Save Save Save Save Save Save Save Save Save Save Save]]>

Best Bag Ever (Family Portraits in Red Rocks, Golden, Colorado)

CF card wallets and specially padded cases for our lenses. Basically anything that allows you to transport your stuff and access it easily while you are on the go.  I really believe that having just the right bag (from a functional perspective), with a few key/relevant items,  will make any endeavor easier. When I travel, about 20% of my suitcase has the various bags I think I might need at my destination. I was so thrilled a few years back when a friend of mine started working at Ebags. Yea, that’s what you call an obsession. And here is the story how I came to find my newest favorite bag: Last fall I had the honor to photograph Jennifer’s family. All my photography clients get detailed preparation tips, so she knew to bring a change of clothes, a few accessories for herself, and her son’s favorite sports balls. This is quite a bit of stuff, and you want an easy way to gather it together, carry it, and also easily access just what you want without digging through a dark bag.  They love Red Rocks, so that’s where we met for their family photo session. Unlike my Denver studio or a few favorite local parks, where I typically meet families for portraits, Red Rocks had us hiking very far from our cars.  Sounds like just the job for a good bag, right? 😉 As soon as she showed up with this Thirty One Gifts Large Utility Tote, I knew I HAD to get one (or two or three…well, Ok, I ordered four, but some of them in smaller sizes!) It comes in different colors, it’s $35, and you can personalize it with your name (for an additional fee.)  I use one for my newborn session props, and we use another as our pool bag. Click HERE to order your own. During the Month of May, you get to order a second one for $10.   Best Tote Bag Ever from 31 Gifts

Broomfield Family Photography – Red Rocks (by Natascha Lee Studios in Broomfield, Colorado)

Broomfield trees are turning colors, the weather getting colder, and the days are getting shorter.

Yay! Fall is here! Fall Family Portraits are the best!

And I’m having a blast photographing the most wonderful families.

This time of the year, we don’t have much time for posting sneak peeks, but I just had to share this one.

You know when your child makes you laugh so hard that you smile goes from ear to ear and your eyes shut with joy?

Yea – like that.  😉

Which do you prefer – Black and White or Color, and why? (Vote/comment on FB, if you like.)

I usually prefer color, esp for the majesty of Red Rocks.

But in this case, something about the black and white focuses our eyes on their wonderful expressions. And the mothers beautiful face in that joyous smile.

Of course, you already know about about her beauty from her image in my mermaid series:
