Congrats to our Model of the Month: Corrinne, a lovely 15 year old (14 when we did her modeling photos) from Denver. Let’s start by meeting Paula, Corrinne’s mom:
Hi! I’m Paula Metcaffe, originally from Wisconsin. When I have time to myself, I love to garden, work around the house and shop. Our family loves to vacation together in tropical places. For Christmas this year, we opted for palm trees instead of evergreens and went to Hawaii.
And now, a bit about her beautiful daughter – Corrine, tell us about yourself:
Hi, I’m Corrinne Metcaffe and I am 15! -I like snapchat, twitter, volley ball, going to concerts, history and gym. I LOVE makeup and REALLY LOVE food. I dream of traveling to Australia and all of Europe.
Corrine, what is something about you that surprises people when they find out about it?
People are surprised to find out I was born in California but then lived in Wisconsin until I was 6, when I moved to Colorado. I’m super tall, so my friends feel like “ant” next to me. If you need anything from your top shelf, I’m your gal!
Paula, made your daughter Corrine interested in modeling?
We heard about an event for kids that wanted to model and act. Corrinne wanted to try it – she was 10. It was held on the Disney property in Florida, just outside of Disneyworld. The kids learned how to walk the runway and pose. The read lines for commercials and performed in front of a camera. There were 1200 kids from all over the country. She got to meet so many people and learn many new things. One of the highlights was meeting the host of the show. It was David Deluise, the dad from Wizards of Waverly Place. There were agents from the east coast and California. She had several offers that would have required us to move for the summer. At the time we were not able to go but it was a great experience and we made a lot of fun memories. She has wanted to model ever since.
Why did you pick Natascha Lee Studios for your modeling headshots?
We picked Natascha for several reasons. We have had numerous photographers over the years. Some were good and others not so good… but we wanted something different. Something great. So, we began our search. Natascha had such great client reviews and we loved her work. Everyone looked so natural and comfortable. The chemistry with your photographer is almost as important as their skills.
Was there anything you were nervous or worried about before the session?
No. Natascha gave us great prep tips. We were only excited as to how the images would turn out.
What was your favorite part of your session?
The session went so fast. We were there for a few hours but it was so much fun that time flew. Favorite Part – it was a tossup – the shoot with the glitter was great but I think that doing a shoot on the roof was the best.
Any advice to other new models before their photo sessions?
Bring lots of clothing options. Even more than you think you will need. Have fun!
How did you feel/what did you think when received your images?
So happy! We loved them. Everyone in the family had their favorite!
Ok – the most important question of all: If you could have any superpower, which one would it be and why?
Corrinne: A mind reader – I could know what my teachers are thinking!

Cherry Creek HS Senior Portraits – Class of 2017

This was shot at one of my special “satellite” photo locations in downtown Denver. It has the most unique urban setting, and fab natural light. Little back story: I brought my favorite colorful bench as a prop. When I brought it out, this senior gal loved it, her mom was not a big fan. Until she saw how adorable the photos were with her bright, happy daughter and this bright happy bench! Senior season is winding down, and most senior have yearbook deadlines this month. It’s been a great year, and now Denver’s family portrait season is heating up! I just love Colorado for the beauty it brings us every day, including for outdoor family portrait season. #CCHS Senior Photos - CCHS_ClassOf2017_IMG_7637_NataschaLeeStudios-eal-sfw

Denver Teen Model of the Month: Paris

I’m thrilled to introduce our teen model of the month for March: Paris. Paris is so photogenic! And she was just 11 years old when we did this shoot (she has since turned 12.) Read on to learn more about her, and her journey as a Denver Teen Model. First let’s hear from Paris’ mom, Summer. Mom, tell us about yourself and your family:

My name is Summer Gorman and am a semi-native to Colorado. I was born in California and moved to Colorado when I was 7. First thing I asked when we got to Colorado was what all the white stuff was on the ground. I had never seen snow before.

I love spending time with my family (hubby, son, daughter, and parents), traveling, and watching Paris play volleyball. When I have time to myself, I will work out, go to the movies, or simply do nothing at all!

As a family, we don’t have very much free time. Plus, we each have different interests. We try to go to movies, but again, our movie interests differ. We visit family often and we try to do as much camping as we can over the summer.

Now, let’s hear from Paris in her own words: My name is Paris Gorman, and I am 12 years old. My favorite book is “Let it Snow” By: John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle. I am obsessed with the TV show “Pretty Little Liars” and my favorite movies are the Harry Potter series. I play club volleyball and I really enjoy doing mine and other people’s makeup. Something I have never done, but dream of doing is to be in the Olympics for (hard court) volleyball! What is something about you that surprises people about you?

One thing that surprises people is when I tell them I play volleyball for Colorado Juniors. I am actually playing up on a 13’s team, instead of 12’s team.

My friends say that I am very goofy and I talk a lot.

What made you interesting in modeling? I have always wanted to be a model for the brand PINK or for NIKE. I have had a fairly good experience so far, but have only been a backup in one commercial. I am still grateful I could be in a commercial though! I love meeting new people and hope to meet many more on my next modeling job. Why did you pick Natascha Lee Studios for your modeling headshots? Wilhelmina gave us a whole bunch of choices for a photoshoot, and Natascha Lee Studios caught our eye the most. We were told that she knows exactly what Wilhelmina is looking for, and she sure did! Was there anything you were nervous or worried about before the session?

I was nervous about my skin. Like most teens, I can breakout pretty bad sometimes. I am also very clumsy, so I had a whole bunch of scratches on my legs and arms.

How did the actual photo session go? The photo session went really good! My favorite part was being able to pose for the camera and be outside! Any advice to other models before their photo sessions? Just make sure you give yourselves multiple choices, from shoes and clothes, and your hair. It’s always good to make sure you feel confident and comfortable in your outfits too. Always make sure you put your happy face on, they don’t want to see a sad model! How did you feel/what did you think when received your images? I thought they looked amazing. I was actually surprised at how good my skin looked! I also couldn’t believe how long my legs looked! If you could have any superpower, which one would it be and why? I would love to fly, obviously! The reason being is I would like to see the world from a different perspective and to be in control of where I was going. I would also be able to visit any place I want to, like Paris, France or Venice, Italy! Male Teen Model of the Month: Ronan

I’ve been lucky enough to do modeling portfolio and headshots for many local Denver child and teen models. Today I’m thrilled to introduce our male model of the month, Ronan. Ronan is super laid back, and (like many teen models) looks and acts much older than 13. He’s got a great sense of humor and as he mentions below, he had a hard time keeping a straight face during our portfolio session. First let’s hear from Ronan’s mom, Lamia, who has a fascinating background! Tell us about yourself and your family: I was born in Wales, raised in Morocco, went to college and graduate school in Vermont, stayed in the US and lived in Louisiana 15 years before moving to Colorado in July 2013. I am a project manager for a start-up food manufacturing company and work is keeping me very busy. I don’t have much time to myself but if I did I’d want to do absolutely nothing! 🙂 As a family though, Ronan and I like to go skiing (for me) and snowboarding (for him) in the winter, or just being outdoors when it’s warm. Now, let’s hear from Ronan in his own words: My name is Ronan, I’m 13 years old. I’m an avid reader, enjoy going to the movies, but most of all I love playing football and basketball. The first thing that came to mind when asked about what would I dream of doing, is to drive a Lamborghini one day! What is something about you that surprises people about you? People are always surprised when I tell them my age because I’m so tall for my age. I am now 6′ tall 160lbs and still 13! My friends would say “he’s huge!” What made you interesting in modeling? I had never thought about it until a few friends of my parents kept saying I should try out modeling. I’ve had a few opportunities to audition for TV commercials but the timing conflicted with school vacation or I had a game. Why did you pick Natascha Lee Studios for your modeling headshots? Our modeling agency Wilhelmina highly recommended Natascha Lee Studios. Was there anything you were nervous or worried about before the session? I was definitely nervous because I had never done anything like this before. I was also very nervous because I thought I’d be the only boy, but when I showed up there was another guy. How did the actual photo session go? The photo shoot was so much fun, and Natascha made it very easy. My favorite part was trying to keep a straight face, it’s so hard to do but so funny! Any advice to other models before their photo sessions? It’s really not as serious as you think it may be. It’s a fun experience. How did you feel/what did you think when received your images? I was impressed when I received the pictures because I didn’t think I could look so cool LOL If you could have any superpower, which one would it be and why? Invincibility because I could do anything Contact Ronan via his agency Wilhelmina. Denver Male Teen Model Portfolio Photos - Ronan-Blog-Collage-eal-sfw

Denver Child Model of the Month – Interview with Model and Athlete Ami B

Denver modeling portfolio late last year. Ami (child model) and Sarah (mom) came well prepared to their model portfolio session; Before our shoot, Sarah sent me a link to Ami’s IG feed, so that I could see Ami and start getting ideas on what sort of looks we would do for her portfolio. As you can see, her photos turned out FAB! Check out her photos and her interview:

Denver Child Model Portfolio and Headshots by Natascha Lee StudiosDenver Child Model of the Month – Portfolio and Headshots

First, we’ll hear from Ami’s mom Sarah, and then we’ll hand it over to Ami:
  1. Tell us about yourself, Mom:
My name is Sarah Redd, I’m 33 & I’m from Houston TX. I have 3 children ages 11, 8, and 4. Basically that leaves me with zero free time. When I do find a few moments to my self, I love to cook! Our family is extremely active and we love hiking, snowboarding, climbing 14ers, and trying new restaurants!
  1. Tell us about yourself, Ami:
My name is Amoris Bigler-Redd (Ami B.) age 11 My favorite things are distance running in track & field, cross country, and triathlon training! My cross country team is the 2015 USATF XC National Champs! I dream of running a marathon & hope to run the marathon in the Olympics!
  1. Ami what is something about you that surprises people? What do your friends say about you?
People are surprised I want to run so far. Not many kids my age like running any distance. The farther the distance, the better I do. I currently like to run 10k’s the best. I love any sport that requires endurance. I just started training for youth triathlons. My friends don’t get it I guess. They like gymnastics and dance. My sport is other sports’ punishment, but I love it. My friends think I’m funny and good at acting!
  1. Ami, What made your interesting in modeling? What sort of experience have you had so far?
I’ve always wanted to be a fitness model because I have an eight pack, I’m flexible, and I think I’m pretty! I also love working out! I love working on my core and spin class! I feel comfortable in front of people & I’m not shy. I’ve had a few modeling opportunities but couldn’t do them because it was cross country season. That’s my first priority – my cross country running.
  1. Sarah and Ami, why did you pick Natascha Lee Studios for your Ami’s modeling headshots?
Wilhelmina, one of the world’s top modeling agencies, recommended Natascha Lee Studios because they are the best in town for model headshots!
  1. Ami, was there anything you were nervous or worried about before the session?
Not at all – I wasn’t nervous or scared for the photo session. I was very excited!
  1. Ami, how did the actual photo session go? What was your favorite part?
The photo session went great! Natascha and her assistant were very nice and made me feel comfortable. I am a little sensitive to the sun but they explained it’s common for kids with light hair and eyes. They had techniques for me to do when I was posing outside so the sun didn’t affect my eyes as much. My favorite part of the session was when I got to pose. I love posing!!!
  1. Any advice to other models before their photo sessions?
Have confidence yourself. Have fun with it and don’t worry about anything!
  1. How did you feel/what did you think when received your images?
My photos came out amazing – I was so happy. My parents couldn’t have been happier either!
  1. If you could have any superpower, which one would it be and why?
If I had a superpower, it would be to save people. I love to do good things for people because I’m kind and caring! You can contact Ami and see her full portfolio via her modeling agency at: http://profiles.wilhelminadenver.com/model/3060/ami ]]>
